No doubt about it

How do we stop imposter syndrome getting in the way of success?

70% of people get imposter syndrome, the persistent, nagging feeling of not being good enough and that you will be exposed as a fraud. It's particularly prevalent in high-performance cultures like financial services, so for every Wolf of Wall Street, there will almost certainly be a Wolf of Wallflower.

Left unchecked, imposter syndrome can lead to a loss of productivity and burnout, and because it adversely affects people of underrepresented identities, it's a threat to diversity, equity and inclusion.

This makes it a topic Upfront can't shy away from.

In this episode, imposter syndrome expert and confidence coach Alison Shamir joins Olga Koch to discuss why imposter syndrome must be tackled and shares three steps to defeat it, along with some advice every employer needs to hear.
